It's been a long time since I last read a work of fiction that moved me quite this much. The Zusak's writing is refreshingly different, creative and surprisingly powerful. The characters are sublime, the story fresh and original and the approach superbly creative. (The only thing negative thing I can say is that I found the frequent blasphemy, which really didn't strike me as being necessary to the story at all, rather jarring. It didn't fit.)
This is a five star read.
